Player Notes
Kevin Pillar homered Wednesday in his return to Toronto's lineup.

Advice: It was a two-run shot off Ryan Webb. Pillar hadn't played in 11 days because of a strained oblique suffered sneezing. He's still in the mix for a spot on the Jays' roster as a part-time option in center and left.

Kevin Pillar (oblique) is back in the Blue Jays' Grapefruit League lineup Wednesday.

Advice: Pillar recently suffered an oblique strain from sneezing, which left him sidelined for a few days, but he's ready to go. The 26-year-old still has enough time to get ready for the season.

Kevin Pillar (oblique) will return to the Blue Jays' lineup Wednesday.

Advice: Good news. Pillar suffered a slight right oblique injury when he sneezed about a week and a half ago, but he's making solid progress. Assuming he doesn't aggravate the injury, he should be good to go for the season.

Kevin Pillar (oblique) will resume taking batting practice Sunday after an MRI Saturday came back clean.

Advice: The Jays sent Pillar for an MRI on his strained right oblique to see how the muscle is coming along, and it seems they liked what they saw. Assuming BP goes well, Pillar said he hopes to get into a game sometime this week. He's trending in the right direction with Opening Day approaching.

Kevin Pillar (oblique) will undergo an MRI on Saturday.

Advice: Pillar hasn't re-injured his right oblique strain, but rather the Blue Jays simply want to see how he's healing. Toronto is hopeful that the outfielder will be ready for Opening Day.
