Advice: The hefty right-hander allowed one run on two hits over his 2/3 of an inning, throwing 14 of his 22 pitches for strikes. As long as he feels good after this outing, he'll work again on Sunday. Tigers manager Brad Ausmus has indicated that he'd like Rondon to work on back-to-back days at Toledo before he's cleared to rejoin the Tigers bullpen, which could happen before the end of the month.

Advice: Rondon is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment Thursday at Triple-A Toledo and will then pitch again Sunday. He's not scheduled for Monday, so it's probably going to be at least a week before the hard-throwing right-hander arrives in the Tigers' bullpen. He's been out all season with biceps tendinitis and missed the entire 2014 campaign following Tommy John surgery.Rotoworld

Advice: Assuming Rondon feels fine on Tuesday, the Tigers will then decide whether the reliever will throw another simulated game or begin a rehab assignment. "The thing with him, it's been the day after," Ausmus said. "So we are keeping our fingers crossed that it'll be the same as his recent track record where he's felt pretty good coming in the next day. We will know more tomorrow. But as far as his simulated game or live BP, he looked strong."

Advice: If all goes well in that simulated game, he should be cleared to begin a minor league rehab assignment. Barring any setbacks, he could return to a setup role in the Tigers bullpen before the end of the month.
