Player Notes
Adam Eaton (hamstring) could return Friday.

Advice: Eaton is again out of the White Sox lineup on Thursday with a mild strain of his left hamstring, but he tried to talk manager Robin Ventura into starting him -- which is obviously a good sign. The dynamic 25-year-old outfielder is batting .282/.373/.394 with one home run and one stolen base in 18 games this season.

Adam Eaton (hamstring) hopes to return Wednesday.

Advice: Eaton tested his strained left hamstring on Tuesday afternoon and reported feeling good. He suffered the hamstring injury in Saturday's game against the Rangers.

Adam Eaton will test out his strained left hamstring prior to Tuesday's game.

Advice: Eaton is confident that he won't need a trip to the disabled list, but more will be known after he tests things out Tuesday. "We are going to see how it feels and if it feels good, we'll give it a go tomorrow," Eaton said. "So, we are going to take today and rest completely. Not even throw spikes on unfortunately. Take a full day and tomorrow get out there on the field and test it and, like I said, hopefully be ready to go tomorrow. If not, then the day after. Hopefully, be truthful with it tomorrow and make sure we're ready to go."

Adam Eaton (hamstring) is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Tigers.

Advice: Jordan Danks is playing in center field and leading off in Eaton's absence. On Saturday, manager Robin Ventura said that Eaton will miss at least three games with a strained hamstring suffered on Friday and aggravated on Saturday. Don't expect Eaton to be back until Wednesday at the earliest.

White Sox manager Robin Ventura said Saturday that Adam Eaton (hamstring) will sit out at least three games.

Advice: Eaton injured both his hamstring and ankle on Friday and then aggravated the hamstring ailment Saturday. The White Sox are calling it a mild strain, but they want to be safe and hold the outfielder out for at least a few days. "It's really right behind his knee," Ventura said. "Probably a few days just to monitor and see. It should be back in time. He just couldn't get out of the box. When he's pushing to get out of the box is when he really feels it. He can run and probably run better than most. It's just safer not to run him out there and maybe do something worse."

Adam Eaton was removed from Saturday's game against the Rangers with a mild left hamstring strain.

Advice: Eaton was 0-for-3 when he left in the fifth inning for Alejandro De Aza. The White Sox are listing him as day-to-day for now, but hamstring strains -- even mild ones -- often lead to disabled list stints.

Adam Eaton is expected to be in the White Sox starting lineup on Saturday after leaving Friday's game early with a lower body injury.

Advice: Eaton sustained the injury while awkwardly rounding first base after his first inning single. His rest on Friday was merely a precautionary measure, and the injury isn't expected to be an issue moving forward.
