Advice: It's a home game in Port St. Lucie, Florida against the visiting Tigers. Harvey is 16 months removed from Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery and should be a full-go when the 2015 regular season opens, though the Mets will probably limit his workload in some fashion after he missed all of 2014. Harvey can still be a top-tier fantasy starter even if he only logs 160-170 innings this summer. The 25-year-old right-hander owns a fantastic 2.39 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and 261/57 K/BB ratio in 237 2/3 major league frames.

Advice: Harvey recently incorporated curveballs and sliders into his throwing sessions as he continues to progress from Tommy John surgery. Now he's ready to make the next step. As of now, the Mets are planning on Harvey being a full-go when the season begins. We wouldn't be surprised if it takes the Mets' ace some time to get back to his usual dominant self, as we have seen with other pitchers in the past, but it's worth noting that he is 16 months removed from surgery.Rotoworld
Advice: He could also have another "first" later this week when he possibly faces hitters. Harvey's rehab has progressed as hoped to this point and he's expected to open the season in the Mets' rotation. General manager Sandy Alderson said recently that Harvey could throw as many as 200 innings should the Mets make the playoffs.

Advice: Collins also noted that there is no plan to skip any of Harvey's starts, which gives traction to general manager Sandy Alderson's comments from yesterday that it's possible Harvey could reach the 200 inning plateau in 2015. While expectations should be tempered on the talented young right-hander as he returns from Tommy John surgery, it appears as there will be no limitations on his workload.

Advice: The club will monitor the right-hander's workload as he returns from Tommy John surgery, but it sounds like the innings limit won't be too strict. Harvey is now 16 months removed from the operation, so it's not as if the Mets are being reckless here. Fantasy owners shouldn't expect Harvey to regain his previous form right away, but it's certainly good news that he'll have a relatively substantial workload.
