May 13 Indians optioned 3B Lonnie Chisenhall to Triple-A Columbus.

Advice: Chisenhall opened the 2013 season as the Indians' everyday third baseman but batted just .213/.253/.351 with 22 strikeouts over his first 99 plate appearances. The 24-year-old should work his way back up eventually. Mark Reynolds is starting at third base Monday and could see semi-regular playing time there with Mike Aviles.
