Player Notes
Mark Trumbo hit his eighth homer and walked twice versus the Cardinals on Wednesday.

Advice: Trumbo hit two homers in the series against the Cardinals, one of several potential suitors for his services this summer. It wouldn't have seemed like a fit a day ago, but with Matt Adams (quad) out for a few months and perhaps the rest of the season, a power-hitting first baseman -- one better than Mark Reynolds -- might be a need for St. Louis.

Mark Trumbo slugged a game-tying, two-run homer in the eighth inning of Monday's loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: His blast after an Ender Inciarte single came off of terrific reliever Kevin Siegrist, as the D'Backs knotted things up before the Cards eventually won in the 10th. Trumbo has given Arizona pretty much what they should have expected this season with a .264/.303/.507 batting line and seven home runs.
