May 17 Pedro Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Friday's 5-4 win over the Astros.

Advice: His 462-foot blast tied the game in the eighth inning and the Pirates went on to win in bottom of the ninth after Jake Elmore and Jimmy Paredes collided while going after a pop-up. Alvarez is still hitting just .197 on the year, but he has seven home runs and 20 RBI through 38 games.
