Player Notes
Giants manager Bruce Bochy confirmed on Friday that Denard Span will start in center field and bat leadoff this season.

Advice: There wasn't any doubt, but this is the first time Bochy has officially addressed it. The addition of Span pushes Angel Pagan out of both of the aforementioned roles, although he's now likely to receive the bulk of the at-bats in left field. Span is coming off a hip issue that limited him to just 61 games in 2015, but he'll enter 2016 with a clean bill of health.
