Player Notes
Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said Monday that he will platoon Colby Rasmus and Darin Mastroianni in center field for a while until someone gets hot.

Advice: Rasmus has 12 homers and 27 RBI over 54 games this season, but he's batting just .216/.270/.463 overall and is hitting .167/.286/.333 versus lefties. It's worth a shot, but Mastroianni (a career .218/.283/.300 hitter over 290 plate appearances) is unlikely to do much damage.

Colby Rasmus (wrist) grounded out as a pinch hitter in the 11th inning of Friday's loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Rasmus was kept out of the starting lineup on Thursday and Friday after tweaking his wrist when crashing into the wall during Wednesday's contest. It sounds as though he's good to go though and should be back in the lineup on Saturday.

Mon, Jul 7 Rotoworld
Colby Rasmus' wrist injury isn't considered serious.

Advice: Rasmus tweaked the wrist when he hit the wall during Wednesday's game. He's sitting out Thursday but should be back in there in a day or two.

Fri, Jul 4 Rotoworld
Colby Rasmus is not in Thursday's lineup due to a wrist injury.

Advice: Rasmus is being evaluated to determine the seriousness of the ailment. It's not clear at this point how the outfielder was injured. Anthony Gose is in center field Thursday in Rasmus' place.
