Colby Rasmus (infection) was hospitalized overnight into Tuesday.

Advice: Astros manager A.J. Hinch said that Rasmus is "actually improved," but he also sounded less certain that the outfielder would be ready to leave with the club for their road trip that begins Thursday. There's no talk of the disabled list at this point, but it doesn't sound like Rasmus' return to the lineup is imminent. "There’s still a little bit of achiness in there and still a little bit of discomfort," Hinch said. "I think the smart thing for us is just to let the doctors continue to monitor him and get the infection out of there."

Colby Rasmus (infection) could be available to play before the Astros begin a road trip on Thursday.

Advice: Rasmus got an infection following a bug bite on his left wrist. He's been given an IV and antibiotics, which have left him lethargic and unavailable to play the last few days. It appears he'll avoid the disabled list, though.
