Ramirez (finger) will be held out of the lineup for the second straight game on Friday, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Recommendation: Jayson Nix will start in his place at shortstop and bat second for manager Ozzie Guillen. Chris Getz will get the start at second base on Friday night.

SS Alexei Ramirez was carrying a bat around before Friday's game, as well playing dominos, and more importantly, not in the training room. That was the case on Friday, as the Sox shortstop indicated he should be back in the starting lineup for this afternoon's game, after he pulled himself out of Wednesday's win over Cleveland with a bruised middle finger on his right hand. Jayson Nix started in Ramirez' spot for the second consecutive day, and will return to his bench duties.

Ramirez left in the middle of the eighth inning of Wednesday's game with an injured right middle finger.
Advice: White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said his shortstop injured it on Tuesday. Ramirez will sit out Thursday's game in Kansas City and Guillen said it was likely Ramirez will have X-rays. It's a shame considering Ramirez is batting .330 with seven homers and 16 RBIs in his last 23 games.
