Updating previous reports, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review's Rob Biertempfel reports Pittsburgh Pirates CL Matt Capps (shoulder) is progressing with his rehab program. "Things are going better than anticipated, but we are still weeks away from full activity," general manager Neal Huntington said. "If all goes well, he will be (throwing) off a mound within the next two weeks." |

RHP Matt Capps has started playing catch at the Pirates' spring training facility in Bradenton, Fla., but won't be able to throw off a mound for another two weeks. Capps, who has 17 saves this season, has been on the disabled list since July 2 with shoulder bursitis and is expected to be out until Sept 1. |
