Marcum took the loss Tuesday against the Giants, allowing six runs on five hits and two walks in six innings.
Recommendation: The home run ball killed Marcum, as allowed a pair of two-run homers to Joaquin Arias and Buster Posey. As a soft-tosser, Marcum will occasionally have these games. His ERA currently sits at 3.93 and with a 3.74 FIP, we shouldn't expect too much to change as the season goes on.

RHP Shaun Marcum, who suffered a cramp or spasm while warming up for his start Thursday night in Houston, was still a bit sore Friday. Manager Ron Roenicke said he didn't anticipate Marcum missing a start but wouldn't know for sure until he throws a bullpen session.
