3B Edwin Encarnacion could be in Cincinnati's starting lineup for Saturday's game against St. Louis. Encarnacion was activated Friday from the 60-day disabled list. He'd been out since April 28 with a chip fracture in his left wrist, leaving the Reds desperately short of right-handed power.

Encarnacion didn't start but later entered and had a double in his one at-bat.
Recommendation: It's plausible that Encarnacion will find his way into the lineup on Saturday, depending on who starts at shortstop.
