Putz told csnchicago.com that Mets doctors did not examine a bone spur in his right elbow until he got to spring training in February, saying he "never really had a physical with the Mets."
Advice: Putz was terrible last season and clearly not healthy. He also claims the Mets told him not to talk about his health. Putz says he has had a physical with the White Sox, and is anxious to start the 2010 season with his new club.
