Player Notes
Justin Morneau hit his 14th home run in Friday's tilt with the Marlins.

Advice: Morneau finished the game 2-for-4, driving in two with his third inning homer off of Henderson Alvarez. It was Morneau's first home run since the All Star break. Despite the lack of dingers in the second half of the season, Morneau actually has bettered his slashes across the board in the second half. Since the break, he's been hitting .353/.443/.515. The Rocky Mountain air is doing him well.

Justin Morneau (neck) is back in the Rockies' starting lineup on Tuesday against the Royals.

Advice: Morneau missed a few games with a lingering neck injury. He is starting at first base and batting third for the Rockies against Royals right-hander James Shields.
