Player Notes
Justin Morneau went 2-for-4 with a home run and five RBI in Sunday's loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Morneau got it done in a number of different ways, singling in a run in the first inning, producing an RBI groundout in the third and lifting a sacrifice fly in the fifth before blasting a two-run homer in the seventh. He's been on an absolute tear lately, mashing three home runs and collecting 12 RBI during a five-game hitting streak. He's up to .344 with a .981 OPS for the season.

Justin Morneau finished 3-for-3 with a double, homer and two RBI in a loss to the Friars on Wednesday.

Advice: Morneau has clearly enjoyed his escape from Target Field to Coors, though he did his damage tonight at renowned hitter-killer Petco Park. At least in the early going, he looks like a different hitter: The veteran first sacker is slashing .354/.396/.542 with two homers and five RBI over 48 at-bats. He's had a lot of singles drop in, so the power will have to rise to compensate. It's worth noting that he hasn't hit 20 homers since 2009.
