Vogelsong tossed 6.1 quality innings to earn the win at Miami on Thursday, allowing three runs and seven hits with four strikeouts.
Recommendation: Vogelsong continues to pitch effectively despite a mediocre strikeout total (38 Ks in 54 innings). In fact, Vogelsong has gone at least six innings in all eight of his outings this year, and has posted a quality start in five straight.

RHP Ryan Vogelsong's record is 2-1, but it could be much better. His ERA in four May starts is 0.95, and it's 2.27 in seven starts on the season. On Saturday, he gave up one hit over seven shutout innings, retiring the first 13 batters. Last year, Vogelsong returned to the majors after a four-year absence and went 13-7 with a 2.71 ERA and made the NL All-Star team.
