INF Geoff Blum re-signed with the Astros, getting a one-year deal worth $1.5 million contract with a $1.65 million mutual option for 2011. Blum is coming off a year spent mostly at third base in which he hit .247 with 10 home runs and 49 RBIs in 120 games.

Recommendation: He'll be back for the 2010 season at $1.5 million, and the contract includes a mutual option for 2011 at $1.65 million. Blum is likely to be a reserve infielder next season.
