Jul 3 The Cardinals don't expect DeRosa (wrist) to be in the starting lineup until Tuesday, though he could pinch hit or play defense before then, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Recommendation: DeRosa has missed the last two games since injuring his wrist on June 30.

Jul 1 DeRosa has a strained tendon in his left wrist and expects to miss three or four games.

Advice: DeRosa, acquired last weekend from Cleveland, suffered the injury while swinging Tuesday night during the Cardinals' 6-3 loss to the Giants and said he felt a "little tweak." The versatile infielder 0 for 9 in three games for the Cardinals after batting .270 with 13 homers and 50 RBIs for the Indians.

Jul 1 IF Mark DeRosa (strained left wrist) will miss three or four games after being injured in Tuesday's game. X-rays Wednesday showed no bone breaks. He's not expect to be placed on the disabled list. "You pull a (hamstring), you don't run as hard. Your shoulder hurts, you don't throw as hard," said DeRosa. "Your hand hurts holding a bat, you can't do anything about that. You can't swing less." Yahoo! Sports
