Dempster allowed four runs on seven hits in six innings against the White Sox on Saturday to take his second loss of the season.
Recommendation: Dempster remains winless through seven starts despite an ERA of 2.28 and WHIP of 1.06 thanks to an unimpressive Cubs offense. A strong wind helped the White Sox hit two home runs off him Saturday, but he entered play with just one allowed in six outings. Dempster owns 10-and-5 rights, but the club may try to encourage him to waive that privilege as the trading deadline nears.
