C Jason Kendall is likely through in Milwaukee. Kendall was the Brewers' No. 1 catcher the past two seasons, playing in 285 games. Last year, he batted .241 with two homers and 43 RBIs. But the Brewers are trying to clear payroll space to add some badly needed starting pitching, and they have told Kendall they cannot commit the $5 million they paid him in 2009 to that position next year.
