Yankees' Aaron Judge strikes out again, extends record streak to 37 games

Aaron Judge was close to making it through Sunday's game without a strikeout, but in his final at-bat he was called out, extending his strikeout streak to a whopping 37 games.

The Yankees rookie was struck out swinging in the eighth inning after Red Sox reliever Addison Reed whiffed him on the sixth pitch of the at-bat, dropping Judge to 0 for 4 on the night and his average to just .180 in August.

On Saturday, Judge broke the record for consecutive games with a strikeout by a non-pitcher. He's now tied with Expos pitcher Bill Stoneman with the most consecutive games with a strikeout.

"It's a little frustrating, but there's nothing you can do about it. You can't pout. You can't cry. You just have to keep working and move on," Judge told reporters, via ESPN.

Even though Judge has hit a rough patch, manager Joe Girardi is still putting his support behind him.

"It's not like we have a lot of people that are hitting very well," he said.
