If you don't want to ruin Friends for yourself, keep scrolling, but also maybe read this article because it will literally blow your mind. A TikTok user just pointed out a major vocal habit that Jennifer Aniston has on the classic show and I am shook that I never noticed it, but also annoyed that I now can't unhear it.

It all started when someone on TikTok asked for people to stitch their video with "a trope in media that once you saw it, you couldn't unsee it." That's when @cts.trphe stepped in. They clarified by saying their example "technically isn't a trope," but it would "ruin" the viewer's life. They then warned that Friends fans should scroll on, but I kept watching, because I'm brave.

That's when @cts.trphe drops the tea. "Jennifer Aniston has this vocal tic that she does at the beginning of every single sentence that she starts on any show that she’s in," they said. "It’s very specific and it’s very hard to unsee once you notice it."

You then see a montage of what can only be described as Jennifer clearing her throat constantly in many different scenes. Honestly, as someone who has watched through Friends multiple times, I recognized the sound right away, but I don't think I ever realized how much she makes it.

The comments section of the video is wild. Half the users are avid Friends fans scared to finish the video and reveal the tic. Others are viewers who said they'd noticed it before on their own. "She does this so much," one commenter wrote. "A lotttt of people have crutches when acting when they don't know what else to do. A lot of people sigh or grunt etc."

Others meanwhile, said they watched an episode of the show where she doesn't do it once. Some suggested she would do it at the beginning of a joke to emphasize her point, and it isn't as excessive as the TikToker makes it seem. Either way, I now have a new excuse to rewatch Friends.
