Winter weather advisory: Greater Columbus to see 2 inches of snow Sunday, and more Monday

Snow already began falling by midmorning Sunday in Greater Columbus, as area residents faced a cold, wintry end to the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service Wilmington office, the area will see between one and two inches of snow throughout the day.

Currently, the National Weather Service has put Franklin County under a winter weather advisory between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday. The advisory told residents to plan on slippery road conditions.

Monday is forecast to be almost a carbon copy, with another one-to-two inches of snow expected. Then temperatures will plummet, with lows Tuesday night and Wednesday night in the single digits.
