New York Fashion Week has officially ended. And while NYC won’t be attending many runways shows until September arrives, now is the perfect time to try out all of the new trends this season brought.

The Fall/Winter 2022 season had everything from glittering sequins to showstopping feathers, but its beauty looks made statements of their own. Bold yet wearable, these beauty moments deserve all the hype. Keep scrolling to check out three of the biggest beauty trends from NYFW and shop the exact products that the makeup artists used backstage.

1. “Natural” nails

If you’re getting tired of colorful manicures and have been vibing with your nails au natural lately, you’ll be excited to hear that simple, clean nails were seen all over this season’s runways. From Jason Wu to Ulla Johnson and Proenza Schouler, models were spotted wearing plain, neutral polish.

Tenoverten, the clean nail care brand, was behind the neutral nails at Tory Burch. According to Nadine Abramcyk, the co-founder of Tenoverten, “this season we’re all about a ‘your-nails-but-better’ look, the ultimate minimalist mani. For Tory Burch’s FW22 show, we used one coat of our Jane polish – a milky neutral pink – for an instant boost of natural brightness.”

Ulla Johnson’s models wore another nude polish from Tenoverten: Canal.

2. Blue eyes

Bright blue designs were a major fashion trend of the F/W ’22 season, but the vibrant hue also popped up in several makeup looks. Models at Christian Siriano, Kim Shui, Bronx and Banco and Tia Adeola wore vibrant blue eye looks.

Stila Cosmetics was in charge of the gorgeous looks at both Kim Shui and Bronx and Banco, where makeup artists used the brand’s popular Double Dip Suede Shade & Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadows. Stila’s global beauty director Charlie Riddle used the aqua shade Beach Wave on the models at Bronx and Banco, while Kim Shui’s models wore the darker shade Blue Jean.

3. Bold blush

Blush is definitely having a moment in the beauty world. From Charlotte Tilbury’s viral Pinkgasm blush constantly being sold out and blush contour getting some buzz, it’s no big shock that pink cheeks were a big NYFW trend.

Christian Cowan’s models had some of the most memorable blush of the week seeing as Lori Taylor Davis, global pro lead artist for Smashbox, used it all over. According to Davis, “blush is back.” Davis described the look Cowan’s models were sporting as “hot pink blush fringing from cheeks to temples, paired with a smoky cat eye and glassy lips.”

Davis used Smashbox’s Be Legendary Prime & Plush Lipstick in the shade Poolside to achieve the perfect pinky glow.
