Tribune’s Best: Vote for SLO County’s top high school football player of Week 2

Choose from 16 nominees for San Luis Obispo County’s top high school football player in Week 2 of our reader poll.

The winner of last week’s poll was Nipomo’s Malachi Starr, who received 4,303 votes (43%), followed by Morro Bay’s Nathan Pech (3,144 votes or 31%) and Templeton’s Kohen Sizemore (1,821 votes or 18%).

In a separate poll, which ended in August, on who fans think will be the county’s best football team this year, Arroyo Grande topped the tally (33%), followed by Mission Prep (31%) and San Luis Obispo (17%).

This is a fun, unscientific poll, and you may vote as many times as you wish to support your selection for The Tribune’s Football Athlete of the Week.

The poll closes at 5 p.m. on Friday. To vote again, hit refresh.

Coaches, parents or students may nominate an athlete for next week’s prep poll consideration by emailing nwilson@thetribunenews.com and providing game stats for your nominee (full player name and stats). Please write “Athlete of the Week nominee” in the subject line.

Have fun voting, share the poll with friends and good luck!
