Amputee AFCON final descends into chaos as players brawl with crutches

The African Amputee Football Cup of Nations final descended into a mass brawl as players from both sides used their crutches to attack one another. On Monday night, Ghana's amputee football team triumphed over Morocco after an exhilarating 2-1 win in Cairo and booked their place in the 2026 Amputee World Cup. In a video that appeared on X, a disagreement between two players appeared to trigger the mass brawl, as team-mates and staff then rushed onto the pitch. Players could be seen using their crutches as weapons to hit eachother with, after Ghana's impressive comeback victory on the night.
