    Strong earthquake hits Tonga but no reports of tsunami risk or damage

    A strong earthquake struck the South Pacific Island nation of Tonga on Monday, but there were no tsunami warnings or immediate reports of damage. The quake had a preliminary magnitude of 6.6 when it hit at 9:47 a.m. local time, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The Hawaii-based Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said there was no risk of the quake causing a tsunami.

    Bradish throws 7 no-hit innings as the Orioles sweep the White Sox with a 4-1 victory

    Kyle Bradish struck out 11 in seven no-hit innings, and the Baltimore Orioles beat the Chicago White Sox 4-1 on Sunday for a sweep of their four-game series. Bradish (1-0), who missed the start of the season because of a right elbow injury, walked four in his fifth start this season. Danny Coulombe was inserted for the eighth, and Danny Mendick led off with a pinch-hit drive to left for Chicago's only hit of the game.
