Apr. 16—Heidi Stewart's single scored Danielle Erickson in the bottom of the seventh inning as St. Scholastica rallied from three runs down to beat Finlandia 6-5 to earn a nonconference doubleheader sweep Thursday in college softball before 57 at Kenwood Field in Duluth.

St. Scholastica, which has won nine straight, took the first game 11-0 in five innings as Haley Rosenthal tossed a three-hitter with six strikeouts and Rosenthal, Olivia Howe, Aislind Dail and Grace Hadlich all hit doubles.

Mara Seurer had four hits, including two doubles, a run and RBI and Stewart had three hits, a run and two RBIs as the Saints (21-3) came back after Jaden Matthews' three-run triple gave the Lions (6-6) a 5-2 lead going into the bottom of the fifth. Toni Bishop added two hits and two RBIs for CSS and her solo home run knotted it up 5-5 in the bottom of the sixth, setting up Stewart's heroics and helping Howe, who only allowed two earned runs, earn the pitching win.

Seurer finished a combined 6-for-7 batting with three RBIs on the day as CSS won the first-ever meeting between the teams in Duluth.
