Reports: Browns TE Njoku out with broken wrist

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku suffered a broken wrist in Monday night's game against the New York Jets, according to multiple media reports. He is expected to be out for more than a month, though he is seeking additional medical opinions on the injury.

Njoku was injured in the first quarter of the Browns' 23-3 victory. On the same play, he suffered a concussion as he appeared to land on his head and neck after being upended by Jets cornerback Nate Hairston on an attempted pass from quarterback Baker Mayfield. After being escorted by trainers to the locker room, he was ruled out of further action.

Njoku did not make a catch in the game after hauling in four receptions for 37 yards and a touchdown in the season-opening loss to the Tennessee Titans.

In his third NFL season, all with the Browns, the 23-year-old from Jersey City, N.J., has career totals of 92 receptions for 1,062 yards and nine touchdowns.
