Port Chester's Target opens; local farmers' markets set to return outdoors

In case you missed it, Port Chester's two-story Target location opened on April 3. The store, which was announced in July 2020, is in the Gateway Port Chester shopping Center. This is the first of two confirmed Target stores coming to the lower Hudson Valley. The second is coming to Yonkers' Cross County Center.

As the weather warms up, farmers' markets across the Hudson Valley will begin to make their way outside. See where in Rockland, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, Ulster and Columbia counties you can find an outdoor farmers' market.

New Rochelle's coffee scene is expanding getting a bit larger as Joe Coffee makes its way into the lobby of the city's latest luxury rental towner, Stella. Once open, the artisanal coffee shop will offer hot and cold drinks as well as snacks.

In national news, grocery store places are set to rise again according to the United States Department of Agriculture. The price of food will also begin to impact the prices of dining out.

In the world of small businesses, after facing COVID, they're now up against tax season. In a report from the Associated Press, "small-business owners, contractors, entrepreneurs, and others face a raft of ever-changing rules and regulations."
