After injuries, 3 Utica Comets players expected to be ready for 2024-25

Alternate captain Joe Gambardella (knee), New Jersey Devils prospect Chase Stillman (hand) and experienced forward Max Willman (upper-body, chest) each suffered injuries about the same time toward the end of the Comets' disappointing 2023-24 season. The team missed the postseason for the first time in three seasons under the New Jersey affiliation. The good news is that each of the players are expected to be ready by the time training camp gets rolling in the fall, according to Comets General Manager Dan MacKinnon. Gambardella was injured March 30 while making a power move to the net near the midpoint of the first period of an eventual 4-3 win over visiting Springfield.
