The Colorado Avalanche took one step Tuesday toward sorting out the depth chart at goaltender. Trent Miner will return on a one-year contract, the club announced. Miner, 23, was a seventh-round pick by the Avs in 2019. After two years spent mostly in the ECHL, Miner got his first real chance with the Colorado Eagles this year, compiling a .930 save percentage and a 9-6-1 record in 18 games.
