    Kyrou, Schenn and Walker score in 3rd period, send Blues past Kraken 4-1

    Jordan Kyrou, Brayden Schenn and Nathan Walker scored in the third period, leading the St. Louis Blues to a 4-1 victory over the Seattle Kraken on Sunday. Kasperi Kapanen also scored for St. Louis. Joel Hofer made 19 saves and hiked his record to 15-12-1.

    Kraken continue low-scoring ways as they play out string in loss to Blues

    Kraken forward Jared McCann and teammates had gotten a needed early jump Sunday against a dispirited-looking opponent going through doldrums reminiscent of their own from a month ago. The Kraken hadn't beaten a team above them in the standings for six weeks, but the St. Louis Blues, eliminated from postseason contention just two days prior, seemed disheartened and disinterested enough to make that happen. Unfortunately for the Kraken, though, the energy they'd started off with vanished midway through a 4-1 loss in which they managed just a lone goal for the third consecutive game. “It definitely caught up to us with the travel and everything, too,” said McCann, whose team was playing consecutive afternoon games, with this one starting at an unusually early noon local time because of national television.

    Bjorkstrand has goal, assist as Kraken beat Sharks 4-2

    Oliver Bjorkstrand scored his 20th goal of the season and added an assist as the Seattle Kraken beat the San Jose Sharks 4-2 on Monday night. Jared McCann, Matty Beniers and Shane Wright also scored for Seattle, and Jordan Eberle had an assist for his 700th NHL point.
