    Evaluating the Golden Knights' Pending Free Agent Decisions

    After an eventful trade deadline for the Vegas Golden Knights, things have begun to trend in the right direction. Following a stretch between Feb. 12 and March 7 where they lost nine of 11 games, they've managed to win two of their last three and continue to crawl back up the Pacific Division standings. While Golden Knights general manager Kelly McCrimmon deserves a ton of credit for the deals he was able to pull off earlier this month, the future looks even more complicated now than it already did. With seven roster players becoming unrestricted free agents later this year, McCrimmon will have to make some pivotal decisions that could drastically change the makeup of this roster.

  • Golden Knights Rally for 5-4 Win Against Kraken in Overtime

    The Vegas Golden Knights (35-23-7) downed the Seattle Kraken (28-24-12) in a 5-4 overtime contest on Tuesday night at Climate Pledge Arena. Andre Burakovsky opened the scoring at 4:14 of the second to give Seattle a 1-0 lead. Jonathan Marchessault's power-play goal tied the game before Pavel Dorofeyev gave Vegas its first lead of the night with five minutes left in the middle frame.

  • Vegas Secures 300th Franchise Win with 6-2 Defeat of Toronto

    The Vegas Golden Knights (33-19-7) routed the Toronto Maple Leafs (33-17-8), 6-2, on Tuesday night at Scotiabank Arena. After a scoreless first frame, Ivan Barbashev went on the breakaway and snuck his 14th of the season past Ilya Samsonov's blocker, giving Vegas a 1-0 lead nine minutes into the second. At 12:20 in the second, Mason Morelli deflected Shea Theodore's shot into the net for his second NHL goal, extending Vegas' lead.
