Raiders QB battle draws eye-opening Davante Adams revelation
Heading into the 2024 NFL Draft, the assumption around the league was that the Las Vegas Raiders may be in business for a rookie quarterback. Sure, Vegas had just recently signed Gardner Minshew and second-year signal-caller Aidan O'Connell played reasonably well down the stretch during his rookie season, but neither of these guys were viewed as the longterm answer at quarterback. According to ESPN's NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, Aidan O'Connell is the early leader in the Raiders quarterback battle, in part because of how star wide receiver Davante Adams feels about him.

Expert Commentary
This is a bit of a surprise at this point because the Raiders just drafted Michael Mayer last year, but it’s hard to get too mad at adding a talent like Brock damn Bowers. The Raiders' two-tight end personnel sets are going to be a beast and they’ll be in good position to make life easier for whoever is playing quarterback for them this year.

This is probably a good spot for Powers-Johnson, who was announced as a guard instead of a center. Regardless, the Raiders needed bodies on the interior and Powers-Johnson is a credible player to add at guard. Very steady starter.
