The most significant offseason departure for the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs was cornerback L'Jarius Sneed, who the Chiefs traded to the Tennessee Titans. “We all love LJ, disappointed to see him go,” Chiefs cornerback Trent McDuffie said. McDuffie's amplified role could be as an outside cornerback — one year after he earned first-team All-Pro honors as a nickel (or slot) cornerback.

Expert Commentary
The Chiefs add some speed to their wide receiver room and some playmaking for Patrick Mahomes. This does feel a tad redundant with Marquise Brown on the roster, but that's only a one-year deal. Mahomes solves all problems, and having Rashee Rice on the roster is a nice changeup from the Brown and Worthy combo, but a 165-pound player in the first round is a bit of a tough sell.

One plus is not enough here — this is a potentially franchise-altering pick for the Chiefs here at the bottom of the second round. Suamataia is a bit raw, but he has legitimate franchise left tackle athleticism and movement ability. Throw him out there and let him grow into an elite tackle.
