Senior Bowl continues to play key role in Packers draft evaluation process
In recent years, there has not only been a strong connection between Reese's Senior Bowl participants and being drafted by the Green Bay Packers, but at this point, we should have our eyes glued to that event because there likely isn't just one or two potential future Packers participating but likely several. The Senior Bowl is an invitation-only All-Star college football event held annually in Mobile, Alabama. Naturally, this event attracts GMs and scouts from across the NFL and gives personnel departments the opportunity to meet with these prospects as well. If we look back at the Packers 2022 and 2023 draft classes, where Brian Gutekunst made a total of 24 selections, 10 of those picks participated in the Senior Bowl.

Expert Commentary
This is a very safe pick for the Packers. Morgan needs to develop some strength as he enters the NFL, but should have the footwork and skill to at least be a quality pass blocker. It just feels like there might have been more juice to squeeze here with some of the defensive players still on the board.

Expert Commentary
The Packers felt like they needed a linebacker and they got one in Cooper. He’s very fast and has some coverage ability, but his play in the box leaves some room for growth. Cooper might be a lower floor player as far as NFL responsibilities are concerned, but he has the speed to be a playmaker early on.

Expert Commentary
This is a great get for the Packers. Bullard might not be the most dynamic athlete in the draft, but the former Bulldog is a playmaker all over the field and has a chance to be a long-term starter in the NFL. Bullard and Xavier McKinney are a versatile pair of safeties to put on the field.

Lloyd is a stud. He’s had a bit of a fumbling problem, but he’s a bowling ball with balance and some real breakaway speed. If he’s able to hold onto the ball better he can be an impact running back in the NFL.
