What are Lions getting in Giovanni Manu? 'The best football athlete in our country'
In a draft that saw the Detroit Lions grab one falling prospect after another, general manager Brad Holmes made everyone scramble for their notes after trading up to select British Columbia offensive tackle Giovanni Manu in Saturday's fourth round. "I've been telling scouts for two years, he's the best football athlete in our country," said Blake Nill, who coached Manu throughout his college career at British Columbia.
