In the NFL it feels like at least one-third of the league's head coaches are always feeling the heat any given season. Some may even be dead men walking. ESPN and Omaha productions' Kevin Clark joins Charles McDonald on the latest episode of The Exempt List to identify the coaches that are on the hot seat and maybe even 'pre-fired' heading into the 2024 season.

To recuse or refuse? A look at Supreme Court justices’ decisions on whether to step aside in cases
In declining to step aside from two high-profile Supreme Court cases, Justice Samuel Alito on Wednesday provided a rare window on the opaque process by which justices decide to step aside from cases. Alito faced calls from Democrats to recuse from two cases involving former President Donald Trump and Jan. 6 defendants because of the controversy over flags that flew over his homes. Revelations about the flags came as the court is considering cases related to the Jan. 6 riot, including charges faced by the rioters and whether Trump has immunity from prosecution on election interference charges.

Tom Blomqvist benched for next 2 races following opening lap crash at Indianapolis 500
Helio Castroneves will run the next two IndyCar races in place of Tom Blomqvist, who was part of an opening lap crash that eliminated three cars at the start of the Indianapolis 500. Castroneves, who is now part of the ownership group at Meyer Shank Racing, will drive the No. 66 this weekend in Detroit and next month at Road America. The team said Wednesday they “have mutually agreed” for Blomqvist to step aside for two races.
