Protesters at Columbia appeared to be digging in, taking over an academic building that has a history of being occupied by student protesters going back nearly 60 years to the Civil Rights Movement and Vietnam War.
Pinterest (PINS) reported first quarter results that topped Street estimates on both the top and bottom lines. The company reported adjusted earnings of $0.20 per share versus a $0.14 estimate. Revenue of $740.0 million was better than the $700.3 million estimate. Pinterest reported having 518 million monthly active users compared to an estimated 503.75 million. Chip giant AMD (AMD) reported its first quarter earnings on Tuesday beating analysts' expectations on the top and bottom lines, but lighter-than-anticipated guidance for the next quarter sent the stock lower.
