Badgers Land Former Missouri Guard John Tonje As Program Continues Rebuild

MADISON, WI (WSAU) – The Wisconsin Badgers landed their third portal transfer in the last week as former Missouri guard John Tonje committed to Wisconsin as a sixth-year senior. According to Badgers 247 Evan Flood, After starting his career at Colorado State, Tonje played for the Rams for four seasons before finishing the season with the Tigers. Tonje only made eight appearances for Mizzou in 2023, including four starts, due to a foot injury, and averaged just 2.6 points per game. Nonetheless, Tonje shot 47.3 percent from the floor, including 38.9 percent from 3-point range, and finished his career at Colorado State with 14.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game which was second-highest
