After diving deep into the transfer portal to build his first roster at Penn State, Mike Rhoades had a much more conservative and focused approach heading into Year 2. The first order of business for Rhoades and his staff was to remodel the frontcourt. Starting center Qudus Wahab, who averaged 9.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 33 games last season, exhausted his final year of eligibility. Wahab's backups, sophomores Demetrius Lilley and Favour Aire, had their moments but were largely projects at center.
