Former Tennessee basketball forward Drew Pember announced Wednesday he’s transferring to UNC Asheville. He made the announcement via Twitter as all the kids do these days. The sophomore forward heads to the Bulldogs likely in search of more playing time since he didn’t get much run with a Vols team last year that didn’t have much of a post presence.
Former Tennessee basketball forward Drew Pember committed to the University of North Carolina Asheville on Wednesday, announcing his decision on Twitter. Pember announced March 26 he would transfer from Tennessee basketball after two seasons. The 6-foot-10 Pember will be reunited with guard Trent Stephney, who was his teammate at Bearden, helping the Bulldogs win the Class AAA state championship in 2019.
