    US STOCKS-Futures tread higher after big gains on Friday

    The benchmark S&P 500 and the blue-chip Dow closed at three-week highs on Friday after data showed U.S. job growth slowed more than expected in April, taking pressure off the U.S. central bank to keep rates higher for longer. Perficient jumped 52.3% after Swedish private equity firm EQT AB said it would take the U.S.-based digital consultancy firm private in an all-cash deal valued at about $3 billion.

    UPDATE 1-Canada's Brookfield to invest $1.5 bln in private credit manager Castlelake

    Canada's Brookfield Asset Management will invest about $1.5 billion in private credit manager Castlelake, the companies said in a joint statement on Monday. As part of the deal, Brookfield will also acquire a 51% stake in Castlelake's fee-related earnings (FRE). The private credit manager will continue to operate its business independently, retaining its current governance and leadership structure.

    Germany recalls its ambassador in Russia for a week in protest over a hacker attack

    Germany said Monday it recalled its ambassador to Russia for a week of consultations in Berlin following an alleged hacker attack on Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s party. Germany last week accused Russian military agents of hacking into the top echelons of Scholz's Social Democrats’ party and other sensitive government and industrial targets. Berlin has joined NATO and fellow European countries in warning that Russia’s cyberespionage would have consequences.
