Former point guard Darius Morris, who played eight seasons in the NBA, including one each with the Philadelphia 76ers and Nets, has died at 33, his family said in a statement to TMZ. “With great sadness we announce the passing of our dearly beloved son, Darius Aaron Morris,” his family said in a statement on Saturday. “During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace.” Morris, who was born in Los Angeles, was a four-star recruit out of Windward High School before playing at Michigan from 2009-11.
