Buddy Hield used to have what basketball people call a shooter's conscience. Hield didn't see any action after failing to score on 0-for-2 shooting during a 3-minute, 57-second stint off the bench in the first quarter of the Sixers' 125-114 Game 3 victory over the New York Knicks at the Wells Fargo Center. Hield even blew two layups the exact same way in Games 1 and 2.
Nick Nurse talked Friday about Buddy Hield's ineffective first three playoff games and the approach he wants Hield to have.
Tyrese Maxey sat on his locker room chair and yelled loud enough after Philadelphia beat Miami in a play-in tournament game to welcome one of the newest 76ers to the postseason club. Indeed, Hield is set to make his NBA postseason debut — and all it took was 632 regular-season games plus one more bonus game Wednesday night in the 76ers' 105-104 win over the Heat.
