White Sox Beats Rays In Extras To Win Series

The Chicago White Sox (5-22) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (13-15) 8-7 in ten innings on Saturday evening. The last-place White Sox now have won a series for the first time this season. A back and forth game saw the Rays and White Sox tied 6-6 after nine innings. The Rays got one in the top of the tenth thanks to a wild pitch, before Andrew Benintendi hit a two-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the tenth to win the game. For Benintendi, it was his second home run of the night. The Rays now look to avoid being swept by the White Sox in the series finale on Sunday afternoon.
