A man is holding the Los Angeles Dodgers responsible after he was beat up in the bathroom during a baseball game.

Daniel Antunez sued the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to documents obtained by The Blast. Antunez says he was attending a game on April 28, 2018 when the Dodgers took on the Florida Marlins for a day game.

He claims that during the game, a friend “accidentally spilled a beer on a fan sitting immediately below her,” and explains that the fan’s wife became upset and got security.

While Antunez and his group was talking to security, he needed to use the bathroom. Upon entering the bathroom, he claims three of the people in the group he spilled beer on jumped him and threw him to the ground.

Antunez clailms he suffered a fractured ankle in the melee, and needed a wheelchair to leave the stadium afterwards. He’s suing the Dodgers for negligence, negligent hiring, assault and battery.

The lawsuit comes just days after a different man was allegedly attacked at Dodger Stadium and suffered a fractured skull. That man is still hospitalized on life support.

Fan on fan violence has been an ongoing epidemic in the sports world. As we reported, a fan also recently sued the Los Angeles Rams claiming a brawl in the stands left one fan with a brain injury.
