A man is missing, several states from home and possibly suicidal. Police want help

MONDAY MORNING UPDATE: Pembroke Pines police announced Sunday night that William Abshear has been found.

Kentucky resident William Abshear was last seen at a Fifth Third Bank branch in Pembroke Pines, according to police, and driving a white Chevy Malibu rental car.

He was reported missing on Monday. Police say a family member said Friday Abshear “suffers from depression and made suicidal threats” before he disappeared.

Abshear is 46 years old, 6-foot-3 and 170 pounds. He was visiting from Versailles, Kentucky, which is about 20 minutes west of Lexington, Kentucky. The Florida license plate on his rental car is GIDJ10. The Fifth Third Bank branch is at 199 N. University Dr.
